Founder Lindsay Nelson, MPA (she/her), was born to coordinate and communicate for social impact. At age five, what she wanted to do when she grew up was:
“Get all the countries and NGOs to talk/work together better so there’s not lots of food in one place and starving people in another”
Thirty years later, she still loves getting people to “talk and work together better” and has done so in many areas of social impact.
She started by staffing teamwork and leadership retreats, then enforcing Spanish-speaking employees’ labor rights, and serving homeless women and children. This drew her to working in the criminal justice system, where she was a victim/survivor advocate in courts and emergency rooms, and lead many cordinated advocacy efforts for local, state, and national crime prevention and rights. She was on the board of the first End Violence Against Women focused Political Action Committees. To round out her justice system experience she clerked at law offices and coordinated the transition office for former inmates to supervision. Since then, she has focused on sexual and reproductive health and rights.
She has founded and helped grow multiple business and nonprofits and moves with ease between many roles. Lindsay launched her consulting career to support executives of small businesses and nonprofits.
Thus, Repro Empowerment was born.
Lindsay uses her passion for ensuring equal, legal, fair access to trauma-informed Sexual and Reproductive Health RIghts (SRHR) to:
