REGISTER HERE

This interactive workshop offers active audience participation through surveys, breakout groups, and a robust Q&A session.  It provides a forum for participants to assess and improve their current TIC practices in telehealth and clinical abortions.  Participants will collaborate with peers and panelists to make meaningful adjustments to their TIC approach.

A key takeaway is a collaborative worksheet for all clinic staff, covering the patient journey from initial contact to aftercare.  The workshop empowers attendees to create safer, more supportive environments for people in need of abortion services.

Understand Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Principles: Gain a basic understanding of TIC, its core principles, and applications in both in-person and telehealth services. Learn to weave these principles into many aspects of care, creating a patient-centric and compassionate environment.

Equipping Clinic Staff with Powerful Resources: Acquire the information and hands-on skills to create a comprehensive checklist and worksheet to empower staff to provide exceptional support throughout the patient journey. Use these tools for a patient-focused approach.

Implement Meaningful TIC Adjustments: Explore the small yet transformational adjustments providers can make.  These adaptations will greatly improve patient experiences, fostering compassion and trauma-informed care.
